Tell us about your family.
The Lord has been good to me! I have a wonderful husband (John), three sons (Hunter, Brock, and Grant), and two daughters-in-law (Bethany and Allison).
What's a favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory would be traveling to Illinois in the summer to spend time on my grandmother's farm. As a family, we still have this tradition and enjoy the things I remember most as a child like catching lightning bugs, watching trains, eating homemade ice cream, visiting the Amish country, and spending time with cousins.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work I am an avid reader. I enjoy taking long walks and riding bikes (bicycles) with my husband.
What is your favorite course to teach, and why?
I enjoy teaching reading. Teaching students the reading process is rewarding, and hopefully my teaching will have an impact on their desire to continue reading long after they have left school.
What is a fond SRCS memory?
My fondest SRCS memories have been the baccalaureate ceremonies for not only my personal children but for the graduates of Seven Rivers. The personalized messages each senior receives from teachers, administrators, and coaches are powerful.
