Tell us about your family.
My husband, David, and I have been married since 2010. We were blessed with two beautiful children, Mia and Dante.

What were you like as a child?
I was always seeking out other children to play with. My mother said she could take me anywhere and within a matter of minutes, I had a group of children around me.

Why did you become a teacher?
I believe that the Lord blessed me with the love of wanting to be around children. I love their innocence and their stories. I love how excited they are to see you every morning and their willingness to work hard and learn. They bring joy to my heart, and I can't think of a better profession to be in.

What is your favorite subject to teach, and why?
Reading. I could bury myself in books all day long, especially on rainy days. I also love reading books to my class, using different voices for different characters, being very animated, and hopefully passing that love of reading to my students.

What do you most enjoy about your job?
I most enjoy building relationships and trust with students. I love watching them grow in their faith and in their schoolwork.

What are your interests outside of work?
I really enjoy just spending time with my family. Most days we hang out at home. I also love working outside in the yard and visiting the beach.

Tell us about a memorable adventure you have experienced.
One of my most memorable adventures was when I went bungee jumping in Tennessee. I don't care for heights, but I knew I would never have the courage to do it again. I think I kept my eyes closed the entire time.
