Tell us about your family.
I have been blessed with three amazing daughters. We also have a very spoiled dog named Snowball.
What were you like as a child?
I grew up in South Florida, so we spent a lot of time surfing and boogie boarding at the beach. I loved the neighborhood I grew up in. I was always outside with my neighborhood friends --- riding bikes, swimming, skateboarding, playing football, and anything that involved sports.
What's a favorite childhood memory?
I had wanted a signed Dan Marino jersey for many years, and my parents surprised me with one for my high school graduation. It was autographed and framed and currently hangs in my garage!
What are your interests outside of work?
I love spending time with family and friends. Football season is my favorite season, and I am a big fan of the Florida Gators and the Miami Dolphins. I enjoy working out. I love the beach. I love kayaking and paddling in the beautiful springs in our area. If we are not at home, you might find us at Olive Garden!
What is your favorite course to teach, and why?
PE has always been my favorite class and still is today. I have always loved to play and watch sports. It is so exciting to teach a student a new skill and watch the joy on their face when they perform it with success.
What makes a great teacher?
I believe enthusiasm and passion with a Christ-centered heart make a great teacher.
What do you most enjoy about your job?
My students are the part that I enjoy most about my job. I love when they tell me about scoring a touchdown at recess or the score of their game. I love their enthusiasm and energy for learning.
Tell us a favorite book or a favorite quote.
I love all of Christine Caine's books. Her Unshakeable devotional is my favorite.
